Papa & Barkley

The wide variety of CBD-infused products manufactured by Papa & Barkley all stem from a single balm the company’s founder, Adam Grossman, made years ago to treat his father and help him return home from hospice. The effectiveness of that balm stayed with Grossman and ultimately led to him founding Papa & Barkley in 2015. As a testament to the balm’s efficacy, Grossman named the company after his father and the family dog, Barkley, who rarely left his father’s side

“We view ourselves as an evidence-based nutraceutical company,” Grossman says.

Since its founding, the company has grown organically through innovation and by sticking to its mission of delivering safe, potent, high-quality CBD products at affordable prices.

Retail: Papa & Barkley products can be found in 90% of California’s licensed dispensaries, approximately 420 stores in total.

Product Details: The company offers lines of balms, transdermal patches, capsules, body oils, bath crystals and tinctures — all of which are made with full-spectrum extracts from farmers in Humboldt County, California.

“Our whole brand is based around a belief in the entourage effect — that the various cannabinoids work together to enhance efficacy, that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts,” Grossman says.

Growth: With the signing of the 2018 Farm Bill, Papa & Barkley has launched its new CBD-only business to provide quality products to people in states without safe access.
