Rapper and cannabis aficionado debuts new product brand as a healthy alternative to smoking
Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg has entered a joint venture with Death Row Records and Hill Beverage Co. to co-produce a new hemp-infused beverage, Do It Fluid, as a healthier alternative to smoking cannabis.
“Healthy living and self-care is in,” he said in an interview with Forbes. “As the science and knowledge around cannabis and hemp keeps moving forward, the number of methods to ‘smoke’ or consume keep growing. I wanted to build something with beverage experts like those at HBC to show everyone that there are other ways to get into it, like drinking your bud. … We worked hard to create full-bodied beverages that have functional ingredients and real fruit juice, all under 90 calories per can.”
Prior to debuting the beverage line, Snoop Dogg had been working the social media channels, making several posts that he had “decided to give up smoke” and asking the public to respect his privacy. Between those posts, the famous entertainer added a video of himself smoking a blunt on Instagram.
Do It Fluid flavors include Blood Orange, Blue Razz, Cherry Limeade and Peaches ‘n Honies. Each flavor has two cannabis options: a 12-ounce can with 25 milligrams of CBD or an 8-ounce can with 5 milligrams of CBD and 3 milligrams of delta-9 THC. The beverages are available in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
