Dialed In Gummies president Max Vansluys has been instrumental in building the edible brand into a Colorado staple. The company has products in roughly 600 stores in Colorado, as well as 79% of retail stores in Ohio and is just now launching its products into Missouri.
“When I first started, we had a hundred store waiting list, we literally could not make it fast enough,” Vansluys says. “Now we have the capacity of doing 30,000 units a week with the snap of a finger in Colorado.”
Before entering the cannabis industry, he was already happy working an easy and rewarding job at a multichannel YouTube network in Los Angeles. When the pandemic hit, Vansluys was laid off and decided to take a chance on cannabis, moving to Denver with his wife for a job as a budtender in 2020.
“I took a huge pay cut from what I was making before but knew that this is what I wanted to do,” he says.
He worked behind the counter for two months before coming across Dialed In Gummies products.
“I knew they had something special so I made it a point to be a part of this company,” he says.
Within months, Vansluys met the owner of the company. The two “hit it off,” he says, and by 2021 Vansluys was working as the company’s vice president of operations, helping the company expand to have a footprint in three states.
“I held that title for about two years and then was promoted to president,” Vansluys says. “It’s been an extremely fun rocket ship ride, to say the least.”
