Mallory Martinez is a sales manager for Artizen Cannabis. But she’s really got her eyes on her boss’s job.
“I hope he gets a promotion, and I can take his position,” she says. “Nobody’s going to stop me because it’s not just a job, it’s a career, and it’s a career that I really, really love.”
Martinez joined the Washington-based producer in 2024 after working as a medical marijuana consultant at The Pacific Outpost in Pasco, Washington, where she dove headfirst into cannabis education.
Since joining Artizen, Martinez has hit the ground running. Literally. She’s spent countless hours on the road, visiting as many cannabis shops as possible in Eastern Washington, as well as maintaining a few accounts on the west side of the state.
“I love working in sales,” she says. “I love talking to people and always pushing yourself. I really like it because every day is a new day. I’m constantly on the run, and you meet the craziest, funniest people out there.”
As much as she enjoys her career, Martinez is truly driven by being a positive role model for her children — three daughters and a son.
“As a single mom, I just want my kids to see that when you put your mind to something, you can definitely achieve it,” she says. “I want to be financially stable, I want to work for a company that knows they can rely on me and just shoot for the stars. I tell my kids, ‘Always shoot for more and never give half. You can’t let the next person take those 24 hours because at the end of the day, we all have the same exact 24 hours.”
