Environmental sustainability is a critical concern in today’s global landscape, and Trulieve recognizes the importance of sustainability for the company’s continued success. As a cultivator, manufacturer and processor of cannabis, we believe and are committed to sustainability and protecting the planet. Trulieve operates about 2 million square feet of enclosed indoor facilities and greenhouse cultivation space within the communities we serve. We are committed on many key improvements and investments for water, energy and waste reduction methods. We have also listened and collaborated with our patients and employees and take their feedback into direct consideration with new innovative ideas and perspectives when provided.

We have implemented several initiatives to counter the impacts of climate change and continuously look for opportunities to improve. Trulieve plants are all hand-grown in an environment specifically designed to reduce any unwanted chemicals and pests, keeping the process as natural as possible at each step. Our cultivation process also provides opportunities for water and energy conservation and reduction. We also reuse water runoff with advanced filtration technology and utilize efficient LED lighting systems to reduce power consumption onsite. Trulieve also conducts a considerable amount of due diligence including the optimal location and logistics planning when it opens new dispensaries.

We choose to only open dispensaries in strategic locations with high levels of delivery and product demand. Routing software is utilized by our logistics team to ensure optimal transportation routes between business units and our customers. By doing so, we significantly reduce travel times and the associated carbon emissions when accessing our products. We have also partnered with third-party consultants in this sector to keep us informed of new technologies and methods as we are passionate to set best practices within the cannabis industry.

These examples are a preview into our broader strategy to be good corporate citizens. We are always looking to optimize operational processes related to environmental conservation as we work toward a cleaner and safer environment for our neighboring communities.
