Interchange, the cannabis industry’s original speed networking event, is returning to Michigan on March 25-26 near Lansing.
The business-focused event will be held at Eagle Eye Golf & Banquet Center in Bath Township and produced by Marijuana Venture and the Michigan Cannabis Industry Association (MiCIA).
MiCIA will dedicate 50% of its proceeds from Interchange to fund the lawsuit against the State of Michigan, opposing the unconstitutional new 24% wholesale tax levied on cannabis businesses.
“The organizers of Interchange clearly understand the importance of supporting the industry,” said Robin Schneider, executive director of MiCIA. “We are thrilled to be partnering with the original team that brought this incredible event to Michigan. Fifty percent of all our event proceeds will go directly to the MiCIA Constitutional Defense Fund so that we can continue our fight in court. We look forward to seeing our members at Interchange for what will be the pre-4/20 sales event of the year.”
Best described as “speed networking for the cannabis industry,” Interchange is a private, two-day business-to-business event in which state-licensed producers and processors meet with dozens of verified retail buyers to connect with new clients, open new accounts, promote new products and manage existing relationships in a business-only environment. The industry-leading event is designed to save cannabis buyers and sellers time and money through a series of uninterrupted sales meetings.
“We’ve exclusively used the Interchange meeting platform to sell over $10 million of cannabis since we’ve been legal,” said Scott Berka, owner of Aloha Botanics in Washington. “It’s a great platform, and it’s an excellent way to meet quality retailers in a short period of time.”
Marijuana Venture has been hosting Interchange since 2016, including more than 30 events in Washington, Oregon, Michigan and Massachusetts. The publishing and events company organized the first Michigan Interchange in 2022.
