Marijuana Venture, the leading business magazine for the legal cannabis industry, is hosting its fourth Retail and Dispensary Expo on November 9-10 at the Seattle Airport Marriott.
The RAD Expo is the only national trade show 100% dedicated to the fast-growing cannabis retail industry throughout North America. Admission is free for cannabis business owners, managers and employees with advance registration (or $50 at the door on the day of the show).
With new states passing legalization initiatives every month, the cannabis retail sector is absolutely booming in the United States and Canada. Led by incredible growth in adult-use markets, including California, Michigan, Massachusetts and Ontario, as well as hot medical states like Florida, Missouri and Oklahoma, legal sales have nearly doubled in the past two years. Plus, with New York and New Jersey coming online, the industry is seeing more new cannabis retailers open with each passing year.
“It’s incredible how much the cannabis retail space has grown in just a few short years,” said Marijuana Venture publisher Greg James. “If you’re not keeping up with the latest products and services available, you’re losing ground to your competitors.”
RAD exhibitors will include retail technology, CBD and hemp, interior design, food and drink, security, merchandising, technology, displays, accounting, lighting and everything in between.
In addition to having 100 exhibitors and sponsors on the show floor, the new “Retail Vision” section of the event will feature industry-leading speakers helping attendees learn ways to better manage their inventory, maintain compliance, harness technology to boost sales, improve their marketing efforts and generally increase revenue and profitability. Admission to Retail Vision will be an additional fee.
Marijuana Venture hosted the first RAD Expo in 2018, with each subsequent event growing in size and scope. RAD was canceled in 2020, due to the COVID pandemic, but Marijuana Venture began safely hosting live, in-person events in April 2021.
All Marijuana Venture events follow up-to-date guidance from the CDC and the state of Washington. Out of an abundance of caution, this year’s RAD Expo has been scaled back in terms of the total number of booths available.
“We felt like 100 booths was a good number for this year, as people start returning to live events,” James said. “We know people are excited to get back to normal and return to meeting in person, but we didn’t want to get too big with the first major trade show in the Pacific Northwest since the pandemic started.”
Seattle is an ideal location for a trade event because it’s the heart of the Pacific Northwest cannabis industry and conveniently located with access to more than 100 retailers in the Seattle/Tacoma area.
