With nearly half the United States now allowing medical marijuana, and with four states that have already legalized recreational use, new canna-businesses are popping up all over the country.
Because it’s a new, emerging market in a controversial space, many operators are unsure of where to get basic services and supplies. WeedWeb is a B2B resource to help connect entrepreneurs with the services they need.
“People are just going out there without a map into this uncharted territory,” said WeedWeb founder and developer MK Tantum.
She launched the company in February 2014. The website targets business owners and operators, who can manage their own profiles and feature their products, in addition to browsing other support companies.
Tantum, who says she has a passion for entreneurship, has a background in the health care field, where she designed websites and software applications for hospitals and other pharma companies.
She said she wants WeedWeb to be a comprehensive resource for businesses, whether they’re looking for packaging, security, hardware, legal help or hiring.
