Marijuana Venture has announced that Megan Stone of High Road Design Studio will be a featured speaker at the Retail and Dispensary (RAD) Expo this October at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon.
In the five years since she founded High Road, Stone has become one of the most sought-after designers of retail cannabis shops and dispensaries. Stone has worked on more than 50 total contracts and estimates that more than 30 shops have opened with a “High Road stamp on it,” including TruMed and Level Up in Arizona, The Healing Center in California, Park Range Recreational in Colorado, Truelieve in Florida, Salvera in Maryland and Root Cellar in Washington, among others.
“The cannabis retail industry has hit a real stride in the last 24 months and now more than ever, these retailers need resources for quality education, networking and thought leadership,” Stone says. “The RAD Expo this fall is geared to be one of those resources.”
Stone has won numerous awards for her work in national and international design competitions, including a 2018 design:retail Portfolio Award for design firm of the year, a first-place award in the VMSD Retail Renovation Competition and the shop! Design Award for specialty food and consumable retailer for her work on Gnome Grown in Oregon.
She has been featured in Marijuana Venture, Forbes, Entrepreneur, Architectural Digest Online and Interior Design.
“The Retail and Dispensary Expo is designed to provide cannabis retail shop owners with the tools and products they need to make their businesses successful,” says Greg James, publisher of Marijuana Venture and organizer of the RAD Expo. “Megan is a leader in creating innovative and beautiful spaces in cannabis retail, and her presentation provides exactly the type of valuable information shop owners need to compete in the modern marijuana market.”
The RAD Expo will also feature former Nordstrom executive Loretta Soffee as a speaker. Soffee is now the principal at Loretta Soffee Consulting and is known for her consumer-centric approach to decision-making and her ability to merge digital advances with traditional retail models. More speakers will be announced soon.
The third RAD Expo is Oct. 24-25. Qualified retail store owners, managers and employees will be admitted free with early registration. The show will feature hundreds of exhibitors of retail-focused products for both cannabis retailers and dispensaries, as well as health food stores, head shops, pet stores and other retail categories that sell cannabis and CBD.
